Trishaa is an Australian artist and songwriter living in Northern NSW.  She was born into a very artistically creative and musical family. From the age of six she had piano and singing lessons and later when her family moved to London, studied singing professionally. Although she was studying classical voice at that time, she soon discovered the joy in the freedom of jazz and blues.

The full potential of her song writing abilities became apparent in later years and was really an extension of a prolific poetry aptitude. Her album “Night Fragrances” can be enjoyed on this website. Trishaa believes that music has such a powerful voice in the world to move the listener beyond everyday life.

Music and art have always been linked throughout time. Some of the greatest masterpieces have influenced magnificent, inspirational pieces of music by famous composers. And vice a versa!

Trishaa’s love and interest in photography progressed to an appreciation of art, which lead her to create her own canvases. In the early days of her painting career, she followed the conventual schools using brushes of various qualities and sizes. Today her art is achieved by manipulating liquid paint with feathers and a splitting medium. The levels are built up, drying between each layer, revealing shape and form. She chooses her colour palette, however the images from here form themselves. This is a mysterious process that always delights and amazes. Each artwork then becomes unique and personal to the observer.

Biography

Trishaa does not paint from photographs or resource material. All paintings capture the emotion of a scene rather than a photographic replica. She believes there is an intrinsic vibration in all living things, that can be brought to the canvas through colour, texture and form.

Having lived and travelled extensively throughout Europe, she now concentrates on portraying the unrivalled light, colour and ambience of her home in northern NSW Australia. 

She continues to explore ways of crossing the boundary between realism and impressionism. 

This approach ensures each painting is uniquely special.
